STUDENT CARD AND BENEFITS

With SAMOK student card you'll get various national and local benefits including discounts on bus and train fares, discounted meals at campus cafeterias as well as discounts in shops and stores, restaurants and pizzerias.

How to get the student card?

In Aug-Oct you won't pay the price of making the card (EUR 10). Just choose the time you want to be a member of POKA

- for one academic year or the whole time of your studying.

Those who are quick get a free POKA bag and a pen!

1. Print the application form from the link below or get the form from POKA's office:

2. Fill the form and read the instructions with it. Don't forget to attach the photo. You can also send us your photo by e-mail: tuutorisihteeri(a)varmapoka.fi.

3. Pay the fee either to POKA's bank account or by cash at the office.

4. Bring or send the application to the office along with the receipt. Karjalankatu 3, 80200 Joensuu.

5. Wait for 1-3 weeks. The POKA office will let you know by e-mail when your student card is ready to be picked up from the office.

Now you can use the card also as library card. Just fill out the paper in library.
